I've just visited Laser to pick up some parts and found out about the Laser Sale Day they are having on the 30th November. They have discounted their whole range of products. I'm a Laser sailor, so only interested in Laser parts, so I will be going just to pick up some sails on offer for £250.

The only trouble with a bit of astroturfing like that is that it can reinforce prejudices and preconceptions about business practices...

Surely anyone from nor-thampton wouldn't use north hants (i.e. Basingrad) as their name though? Is this some sort of wind up obviously targeted at making a certain company look silly? Is it some rival firm from near Sow-thampton? Too obvious?

I wouldn't be altogether surprised if it were some junior who's never even heard of astroturfing and thinks he's thought up some wonderful new way of promoting the sale[grin]
