I hear you brother.
Another 4h in the day.
Or a paid 6 month sabbatical to scratch those relentless itches.

I want an early present, a few of the quotes I have out at present to say yes. Then I could afford to upgrade the boat.

he could put that lot on a Solo and improve the performance immensely without the PY changing from the boat as it was 20 years ago.

I could put some foundation on the phantom side decks to hide to stress cracks if you want? ;-)

If I had sufficient land, I'd be happy to have few Solos routing around, rolling in the mud and occasionally eating scraps from the kitchen... It might even be amusing to put some lipstick on one and post a photo up here.
Sorry, not Solos, i meant Pigs.....

Mine would be all carbon and vastly underweight. But I'd still claim it "in the spirit of the class rules" when entering the SJ winter series ...

I think the class measurer might notice the hull being made of carbon. Worth a go though...

We'll you know the lengths some of us have to go to make 'an archaic old sh*tter' look interesting... I couldn't afford the General Lee decals... A lilac deck was as far as the budget would stretch...
But then I guess we eventually realise it's not about the looks, it's about the class racing. Some even realise it's not about looks or class racing... Although they tend to ride mountain bikes rather than get wet these days.

Time to slow down. 2013 past so quick I didn't get a chance to go sailing apart from teaching.
Oh well

No actually. In fact I tried to borrow a boat for the nationals when they were held in Plymouth but the class couldn't find me one to have a go in. Admittedly I am too big for a byte to be a serious boat to buy but I did want to give it a crack. I was 78kgs at the time.

Happy with Percy, my old Giles boat. Having a thwart meant I could just about walk on Sunday after Sat's drifter - I'm not as young as I was!

You could always dump the thwart Rupert and get a little folding fishing stool for quiet days.

Now there's an idea... suckers on the bottoms of the legs so it doesn't tip up when the boat is healed over?

I understand where your coming from, a guy at our club thinks the same.(For me removing it transformed the boat for the better.) On the other hand I can think of a young man, very close to you, who would suit 402 very well.
