Game on. Can they wrest Spithill and Slingsby from Larry?

Depends if Spithill and Slingsby are led by money or nationalist pride....

Or loyalty to the team they just won with?

Nah, too old fashioned...

Or whichever offers the best chance of winning... which sort of comes with the money...
Only one man can be helm, and I suspect Slingsby has his sights in that direction.
Of course there is also the Benslie question (I don't think he'll want to be tactician next time around). Larry might want to make him an offer in the unrefusable category which then might give Spithill a mind to move on. Then Slingsby could be left in a choice of being a number 2 for one of them two or throwing his lot in with someone else... really the possibilities are endless. With an American wife and kids I don't think Spithill would be in a rush to relocate to Australia.

Ainslie might yet get his wish for a GB team, we really don't know yet. At this stage all we have a CoR, so the games can commence. Fair chance that no-one else will officially throw their hat in the ring until GGYC/Oracle and HIYC/Wild Oats give an indication to what sort of weaponry will be used for the next round

No rush really as the next Cup will almost certainly be held in America and will be at least 3 years away, possibly 4 so it doesn't clash with the Olympics.
