Looks fantastic, where were the photos taken?

Forster Wild Cat Regatta.....  on Australia's east cost, 4 hours North of Sydney.

These pics are from Forster 2003.  We had 118 cats racing an I was racing my old Club Marine Tornado pictured at the bottom.  In Forsters prime, we would see upto 300 cats.

Very impressive Clap AUS 43, does it mean yours was the 43rd boat of this class to be registered in Australia?

Have to agree with everyone, the Capricorn F-18 looks a really good boat. On one of the boats I reckonised they had a transparent panel on the kite, seems a really good idea!

Transparent? if you mean the pics at the top it looks just like a grey to me... could well be wrong though.
Very good idea if it is but i cant imagine a clear material with the right properties for a kite being readily available right now

44 Capricorns in Oz at the moment.  Plenty in Europe. Another 100 sets of hulls on order for the next 12 months with most of these heading for Europe.

Aruba is on my list "to do".

Warm sailing in November - cannot beat it.  Looks like Stuart Gummer and Gillian Power are running away with it at the moment.  Bit between their teeth after last years disaster.

I know a Hurricane crew that go out to it and seemingly the cost of competition entry, shipping the boat out and accomidation all together is cheaper than taking a "normal" holiday out there. People were paying more to stay at the same hotel without being there to do the sailing.

Yes; it's something like about £1000 per person for the week including shipping the boat out.
