I've just seen this advertised via a windsurf forum for nearly 30% off the retail price from sailboats.co.uk:

Marlow Excel Racing 4mm - £1.50 per metre

http://4boards.co.uk/Windsurf/Accessories/Marlow_4mm_Dyneema_Downhaul_Rope" rel="nofollow - http://4boards.co.uk/Windsurf/Accessories/Marlow_4mm_Dyneema_Downhaul_Rope

This isn't a special offer, or a discount end reel- it's the normal price from what I can only imagine is an outlet with a lot lower volume throughput compared to a dinghy specific chandlery.  (It's sold for one function, downhaul rope on a mast extension - not reels of the stuff for continuous spliced control lines)

Sailboats wants £2.11 per metre, P&B are slightly cheaper at £2.07 per metre.

Dinghy Sailor = MUG!

I was on a break in Italy and wandered into a boat shop, looked at the rope prices and bought all I might needfor the next 6 months, it was so cheap, around a 40% saving even with the exchange rate!

I got a price for some reels for club and sailability boats from Dinghy Rope.  The price of the reels was more than I could pay per metre from other outlets.  Crazy.

the same, but different...

try spencer rigging in cowes.
There website is awful, but if you ring up, ask to speak to a rigger they literally have every rope under the sun and because they have all that rope they have huge buying power over marlow mafioli liros etc so can sell it cheap. 4mm Excel is cheaper than that
