Do new RS600 sails work with the old Angel masts? I noticed that the Rooster replicas had a bolt rope too large for the old masts, and wondered if this was a problem shared with the official sails. I've tried asking RS directly but they don't seem to check their emails. Thanks ------------- RS600 794 |

They are usually pretty helpful on the phone about things. Might be worth giving them a call?

FWIW, RS400 bolt ropes seem to vary in size, ancient ones are definitely bigger than on the later white mains. If the bolt rope is only sewn in at the ends, a good sailmaker might be able to change it relatively cheaply, without risking any ill effects? Don't take my word for it, ask a proper sailmaker! |
