Bough Beech is holding a one day joint open meeting for Contenders, Phantoms and Blazes on Sat 9th March.

Details are as follows but basically there will be 4 races starting at approx 11am:

http://www.boughbeechsc.org.uk/events/event.asp?PKEventID=%7b51DFB4C8-519A-4CA4-80E2-08CB74E029B4 - http://www.boughbeechsc.org.uk/events/event.asp?PKEventID={51DFB4C8-519A-4CA4-80E2-08CB74E029B4 }

The lake is full and hopefully there will be a good turn out.

Great opportunity for a season warm up.

I may attempt to come and be shambolic.  I have sailed my new boat twice now ie I have sailed a contender twice since busting my wrist up three years ago.  Baptism of fire, but I like Bough Beech.

Can't make the link work.

I haven't got a bloody tow bar right now, having just sold the truck of joy, so I can't blag my old Blaze and give it a go, why did you restrict it to those particular boats by the way?

It is limited to those boats because they sail there - simple.

Its not a handicap event - 3 classes and 3 events on the same day

Do Speed Sails have one they could lend him- preferably with one of their illegal sails?

I will gladly lend him my truly lovely contender if he wants to come and collect it and promises to leave the camera firmly attached and switched on whilst sailing.

Please make sure it is one of those lovelly varnish jobs.
Maybe Mike could make him a special veneer Blaze.
(more likely add fablon wood finish just to upset him.

Does not look like Blaze (or  Contender) conditions forecast at the moment (more like a 'pond racer' specialist breeze) but a few of us from Burghfield have decided we 'need to get out a bit more' anyway and blow out the cobwebs so should be along to join the locals.

If Greame (or anyone else) is interested 'Andy the Dancing farmer' will be strutting his stuff in his brand new 'straight from Alexandra Palace' Blaze .. no fablon deck on that one though.
