Hi all,

I have recently upgraded my Laser and the new one has come with a combi road trailer. Now I only really want thew trolley so I am looking to sell the road base part.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be worth?

It is not the A-Frame style '250' base but the T-frame ones that I have onely ever really seen on small single handers like the laser.

It is in good nick and rolls very nicely just of no use to me.

Any suggestions would be great.

I have had an offer from a guy down the club but I am not sure if it is a fair offer.

Cheers,

Paul

I sold a couple of the A frame (West Mersea) road bases in vgc for £250 each a couple of years ago which seemed to be the market price at the time.
A frame are probably in more demand than the T-frame bases but you could compare new prices for each to get a ratio and apply that for a starting price.

If in good nick and fitting trolleys that many Lasers have, I'd say a couple of hundred.

Paul I could have a look on Sunday if that helps.  I just bought a used road base for the 2000 for £175.  It depends on condition.

IMHO you might get more than you think, as new ones are £400 up. Perhaps £150-200 if its in good nick?

I bought one when I had my laser for £100 including a new tyre. It was a steal, on ebay they were going for double this but he listed it badly so I won.

I would list on ebay at the price you want, and go from there. People will pay over the odds on certain things, you may be lucky.

If and when the new trailer regs come into force, this is likely to push up 2nd hand prices.  However, as being discussed in another thread, there is huge confusion over this.

A 'new regs' West Mersea 250 base is £650 inc VAT.....!!!!!
