I know the wwww.ianovated.co.uk wetsuit has been mentioned on this forum before and not been taken very seriously but I started racing in it in December and I can advise that it really does work.

Comfortable hands

I suffer from the hand circulation problem Reynaud's Phenomenon and so I used to have to double my medication before venturing onto the water in the winter months and even then my hands were uncomfortable for most of the race (and for the rest of the day afterwards). With the Ianovated suit that has all changed, I no longer need the extra doses and I can keep my hands comfortable all race by occasionally exhaling down the mouth piece to feed warm air into my gloves when ever I start getting chilly. Most of the time the mouth piece rests against your chest under your chin waiting for when you need it, and it does not get in the way of your sailing at all.

I had previously tried the industry route of wearing more and more different layers and regularly got to the point of feeling like the Mitchelin Man! However I have found that the Ianovated suit is typically warm enough on its own and I can now move around the boat freely in comfort and
without restriction. The suit is designed around the hand heating tubes which have to run along the inside of the suit. It has ended up being a sort of drysuit/wetsuit hybrid in that it has a dry zip and is a baggy fit across the shoulders and down the arms so that you do not care about the tubes
inside it, but is a flush neoprene fit from the chest down. The neck seal is much more comfortable and relaxed than a drysuits but still almost as dry. For some reason this suit has ended up being really comfortable and warm.

Fellow sailing club member "iGRF" has witnessed  my winter sailing experiences and is amazed that my hands actually are warm after the many years of termal gloves and bright yellow marigolds. This suit really does enable you to sail in much lower temperatures and actually enjoy it in comfort.
