Simple really, last night I dreamed I had just bought a Finn.  A brand new one, with loads of trick bits all over it.

It had one of those clear foredecks, and I'd chosen a really dark purple colour, almost black in poor light or if you got the angle wrong.  It had a metallic painted silver carbon wing mast, a North sail (odd, I'd never chose a North over a local) and a fixed carbon rudder.

It was well sweet and I was sailing it at Draycote without a care in the world, not racing; just sailing it around in a nice steady warm evening's F3.... pure bliss.

What does that mean?

I pay enough tax, no peasant tax for me thanks.

@duncan, but my dream Solo is exactly what I've got; my dream Finn is something different, horses for courses (no tesco joke intended!)

The Sail clearly is a wardrobe
The wardrobe is your mother
You have a sexual fixation on your mother

The give-away is the clear deck colour.  You are clearly trying to break free from the all-pervading influence of your daughter(s) who have driven you to have a pink-tipped Solo...

I would feel more comfortable if you had a finn Jimbo.

There that's what you meant to say wasn't it?

Something like that. Although everyone makes mistakes, right? Also, how can one know beauty and pleasure until one has known pain and horror? Jimbo is simply giving himself context before his enlightenment.

I think it means you broke into my dream and nicked my boat...

Since when would a pie survive until the end of a dream about Finns?

dripping wet Graeme... I'd been sailing downwind and even the thought of all that kinetics is enough to break a man out into a nasty sweat. as for 'talking pies'... Erm sorry, no David Cronenberg-esque action to report, it was fairly pedestrian bit of champagne sailing.
