Was a bit busy until now but I should have wished everyone a customary Happy New year a bit earlier than this but hey Happy New Year anyway, and my resolutions..

Going to keep improving my EPS, new sail, new adjustable forestay, try and raise the racks, then maybe move to off the boom sheeting. Going to refit the Alto, get a new Spinnaker and if business picks up and returns to anything like normality I'm going to have another bash at the V3 it will be this time, so lots to look forward to this year.. Trying to be optimistic, I'm sure one day it will stop raining.

Good stuff GrumphCool, and a Happy New Year to you too.

Mine are to spend more time actually in a boat rather that watching them, to massively improve my all round fitness (unavoidable in my new job anyway) and to try and be a bit more organised in my admin/work/planning/life.

I'm going to keep my Solo for all of 2013, unless of course a proper fleet of any of the following appear at Draycote:

- Finn
- D1
- OK
- RS300
- K1 (maybe, not sure on this one)

I need to get out more in a boat sailing. Spent more in a boat with an engine on the back than a rudder.

I have a lightning to sort and sail. First outing for 2013 is the BM with the 200

I'd like to consistently be able to compete with the rest of the Datchet Musto fleet.  I'd also like to be able to be the master in 20+ kn rather than a passenger that i feel at times

'passenger' that's good, I felt positively like a stowaway with burly ticket inspector coming on the next windshift most of the time.

unless I find I can still sail a contender - and I truly not expecting that - I will be buying a newish racing dinghy (as in not a classic)  IF I can still sail my contender I will take it to the worlds at Gravedona.

Hopefully do the coach/assessor course.

Run a superbly successful cvrda nationals at Hunts.

GO RACING

1) ...To get another iGRF 'endorsement' for our next boat ('Echo') in due course.
2)  Spend more time enjoying simply sailing ... and less time on keyboards

Resolutions? Refuse any more work (leisure and poverty are preferable to the other thing.....). Make my Lightning the best restored Lightning in existence. Drink more. Meet my Daughter in Venice while touring Europe on a coach without Mrs Tick. Knock down my big old shed whilst not upsetting the swallows (any advice on this)? Sell my Solo to finance "drink more". Take my cat in a life boat.

Renew club membership without paying for boat park space to encourage me to a) do more RS300 events cos boat will be ready for trailing at home b) go windsurfing more and finally learn to water-start in 2013 (then master those carve gybes before I'm too old)

Lose the Christmas weight and then a bit more, but not so much that I can't sail a Phantom when I eventually get one,.

Start exercising properly again.

Try and figure out what parenting is all about.
