Not sure what basis he has for an appeal. Tough race on lots of counts. ------------- Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else |

I Agree When I first read this on the VDG website, I thought harsh in the extreme. When I read the facts, I have to say Fair. When you sign up to the race you agree to abide by the rules You can manipulate them to your advantage - Formula 1 do it for a living You can be caught out by them and get kicked from the race - as Bernard has been Harsh - Yes Fair - Yes ------------- When you find a big kettle of crazy it's probably best not to stir it - Pointy Haired Boss Crew on 505 8780 |

So he's going to get refuelled, what happens to the re-opening of the protest? Does it still happen? The principle where does he get disqualified from - New Zealand or Cape Horn? ------------- Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else |

I'd guess he'd rather the protest appel be succesful and bow out with a retirement (for the refuelling) than a DSQ. ------------- -_ Al |
