On the back of the Sailjuice winter series that has generates 88 entries for the first event what interest would there be for a catamaran winter series??

Other than the sail juice series and the Sprint 15’s winter series there is little activity for cat sailing over the winter.

We could look at Inland Catamaran friendly venues such as Datchet, Carrsington and Rutland for example. I could find some sponsorship for the series just depends if there would be support there would be. We are a little late for this year but maybe something for next year. Alternatively just ship the boats down to Cadiz in Spain and do some training in the sun with the Olympic hopefuls. How bad would that be???

Must be better than sitting at home eating crap and  watching X factor on a Saturday night

Any view would be appreciated

I like the idea although I think Datchet and Grafham already have winter series but maybe not exclusively for cats. So count me as interested.

Datchet do a good warm up series in Feb, it's also cheap to keep your boat there.

Cadiz sounds better, the Tornado class will be staying in Ibiza over next years winter for some warmer training after the Worlds.

The first post says catamaran friendly so that rules Grafham out
