That actually looks better than the original, thanks. I knew the Allen Brothers website existed, but google fails to find it. Only got it through a link from a Y & Y news article on the new website launch.

From what I can tell it looks like an original fitting as is, but I wouldn't rule out that possibility. I'll have a hunt for jib pole spikes to see if anything looks suitable.

Deck hardware/deck bushes...
Allen A4329 appears to have a stainless sleeve and 22mm od, but I think you'll need to trim off some external screw holes. |

Is it a plastic jib pole spike with the sharp bit cut off and a hole drilled? I've done that before. Or a bullseye might do it.

I've never used a jib stick before and from what I can tell of my Albacore jib stick, the end fitting that is uppermost looks shot. As you can see in the photograph, the rope has worn a groove that almost acts like a rope cleat. I know the pole inner diameter is 22mm, but having exhaustively trawled the internet I can not find anyone who makes even a vaguely similar fitting (unfortunately no markings on the pole on the fittings to suggest who supplied them). Does anyone have any ideas where I can get one?
