That is bloody gorgeous! I don't know why you don't see more black Moths, it really suits it.

Well, the front is so narrow, not a lot of displacement going on so I reckon it makes sense to get rid of it for windage and lowriding tacking purposes (less water to push out of the way).

A few changes Isis, but nothing outrageous - foils are quite interesting, but yet to be tested.

As for the paintjob, maybe I'm getting old... Always had a thing for black though, good job it doesn't have sidecks.

First sail on saturday, hope its not too windy!

Well, it was quite windy, but not so windy as to not be sailable for the most part!

Pics c/o Adam May.

Probably because shiny black is *the* colour for showing up the slightest imperfection...

What's with the old sail number (on the Moth site, not this one), is it an old boat that you've converted?

Questions in order...

Jim is right.

Noycey, Thanks!

Jack, not sure yet, noticably lighter than the last one which was 32kg for everything

Old sail number is actually a new sail number. The last boat to use the old numbering scheme was 4104 I think, but as of the new year we are using ISAF plaque numbers as the sail number as they are unique across moths worldwide so all that will need changing should a boat be sold abroad is the country code. I think I'm one of the first to use that over here...

PB - 8k, inc rig & trolley. Not sure how shameless advertising works on here, if its frowned upon please let me know!
