I could make some tube Andy and I probibly will but I dont want to use up my UD untill I have built my new boom and foils and know I have enough spare... and thats gonna be a while yet.

There are a couple of replicas and restored 10 footers still on the water today, sure a google search will find you some pics.

Well no, it's definately not a "skiff", as it has less history than my coffee mug. I wouldn't even group it with the 49er, RS800, etc. which are "skiff like".

Defination of a skiff - fast, light, tricky to keep upright and stupidly overpowered..................

An oppie with a huge rig will fit all criteria! A 4 tonner just simply doesnt im afraid

Ignore my user name, my views are of a 12ft skiff

8' exists, what about 10'?

Having trouble defining an oppie as a skiff? According to many on this site a Laser 4000 doesn't qualify, even!

My design is pretty much finalised, rig sourced, fittings sourced, main build material sourced bar the ply... only thing holding me back is a supply of cheep carbon tube and the fact I need to get the cherub on the water.
