Rdm = reduced diameter masts for use on wave boards common to all brands
SDM = standard diameter mast for use on larger rigs tell me what's the dinghy standard mast again?
US Box = fin box for use with boards that have confined depth
Powerbox= safety single screw finbox for use on free ride boards and fins up to maximum depth of 40cm
Tuttlebox = two screw fixed system necessary if fin size is to exceed 40 cm.
Euro pin, common to all board produced for European market USpin for inbred cousins to fumble with and not function with cold hands.

Everything has it's place and a reason and all carry across multiple brands and all brands use them as a common standard, so a Starboard Tuttle fin will fit a Fanatic, or RRD etc etc.

Now tell me if I take that little pin thing that holds up the mast and try and stick it into some other boat is it even likely it'll fit, even if it looks identical in size and shape to the naked eye?

Not their fault if you can't tell the difference between the metric and imperial size pins...

Imperial? Who even remembers what that was?

Hell you could forgive the Coffin Dodgers in the CVDRA having imperial screws holding down their sash chords, but we've been in Europe I don't care to think how long now, everything should be metric.

Edit.. no no no don't tell me it's the convicts! Ron & Stan are/were convicts and Har(ald)& Ken are Seppo's

They should be boycotted for not using Euro standards, get the weights and measures folk on them.

Of course the benefit of this, and the Devoti Zero, if you're trying to put pins in some rigging, you've probably not RTFM properly in the first place.

Well, both the RS and the Devoti have dagger boards. Probably not swappable, but neither has the centreboard you prefer Graeme.

No, but I'm getting the hang of all that retro pulling up the dagger stuff, what goes on at the back will be important though, I don't want all that MPS pulling two blades up on launch or recovery, but since 90% of my single hander action is down the lake, I guess it's not the deal breaker that it once was for sailing off Hythe beach.

So any more details on this RS?  Is the name RS Zero confirmed?  Is it true that the side decks are cushioned?  Is there an optional foiling package?  Will it be at the show?

I think it was a wing-tip rumour- so more foil assist than full foiling.  I guess there could some merit to it, Jo Richards has form with the DCB N12 after all.

I also heard that RS are working with a american foiling expert to get the wing tips just right - some bloke called Doug... anyone know anything?
