Cirrus Icon Development

Was just wondering if any of you icon sailor's fancy venturing up north in august and entering a boat at Bass Week?

I think the size thing is a bit of an ilusion as a result of the empty cockpit - it is about 6cm shorter and narrower than an RS400 (although it does carry that max width along more of its length).

I believe the first Devoti ones are now in England, but Devoti are understandably quite busy doing Finn things for the Olympics next month.

The first 6 Devoti build ones are around now with 2 of them now in the UK ... awaiting fit-out.  Devoti are quite naturally rather pre-occupied elsewhere until after the Portland thing and these ones are really aimed at distributors as demo boats.   We built a similar number in the UK before the Devoti deal .. plan is to grow awareness through 'hands-on' experience at grass roots level first and then gently push the regular marketing 'stuff' button.... so no 'pile them high and hype them' drive ... not least because we cannot justify the outlay !   

No - we must be absolutely crap at marketing as GRF keeps telling us so we just have to rely on the boat itself to do the selling .... no big full page reviews or ads, or rock-star endorsements, mega 'deals' or whatever ... just try one and see for yourself.  Just ask ... it is such a simple plan really it might even work with a really great boat  ;-) 

But if you buy one you might get a T shirt ....
