It wasn't actually.

Day 1 was breezy but Race 1 was in relatively moderate 16 to 18 knots and it was only the final lap of Race 2 where it gusted strongly to 25 knots. The other 4 days were all fairly moderate with non-planing quite a lot of the time.

Huw won simply because he was the best sailor. He did, however, demonstrate that even at 100kg he could still be fully competitive on the 8.4 rig even in relatively moderate conditions - he did have to work a bit harder though !
