Jim the course is not a strict trapezoid. We have purposely designed the course to benefit all types of boat, including asyms. Its taken alot of thought but we have a compromise that will work. It would be great to have you guys come if any of you can make it.

In fairness to Colin Jim he is not the youngest chicken, so accepts he will not be competitive in his Moth. Hence why he has selected his weapon.

So all you 100 sailors out there (how many are their now 160ish?) it would be great to see you Cool at the Dash

Really?  I'd imagined its fast but that fast?  Must be a proper dog on one leg to get that handicap then or are you talking BF1-2/

Neptune, Steve certainly knows his onions regarding the 300, having won the nationals for the last god knows how many years!  The 300 is also a flying machine on tight reaches especially on flat water.  I would say a PY of a 1000 is pretty quick considering it is a single sailed hiker!!

maybe fast - but thats some pretty quick pedestal your putting it on.   In my head i also have the skiff about as quick as a 600 on a tight reach and that's a pretty quick boat that will see off most boats.

Its a pity there were not more boats at teh last shout last weekend to compare against...was sad to see the 300 on his own and he was never really close enough to get a good impression of comparitive speed.

So how did our boys get on at the weekend then? I was highly unlikely to make it anyway but that was confirmed once my knee exploded at the end of last week. Did we make a good show of ourselves in the pursuit?
