I have to say I found that wildly exciting because my own 14 looks a lot like these.  It was frustrating not to be able to read the sail numbers - I'm looking for K865.  It makes me dead keen to get it on the water.  Unfortunately her indoors was watching over my shoulder and said it looked terrifying!  She is but a beginner, and there are always other crews....

oh thank you!  Rupert has a copy of the book that woiuld have the results in it.

Thats really interesting stuff, Charlie1019 would bve interested as that is round the time his Dad won the POW.

This very short clip is from 1985 and illustrates the fashion to have a bar towel stitched to ones backside..........I can see the benefit of wear resistance but it must have lead to a permanently frozen arse once wet.

Not sure about the other clobber on display either  Horizontal stripes don't do it for me.
