Probably about the same as the Cherub's this year.....so not many.

I think the SB3 has pretty much cornered that market.

Mate, there aren't that many 18's either and frankly you should try sailing
a 12-ft / 50-kg twin wire boat with 15.5 sqm / 21 kite and a 90 cm min
chine width first before knocking the amount of people that sail em'. 20
boats is a fair turn out for a pretty extreme boat.

stick it to em, the cherub is definetly one of the classes to be in at the moment given its growth this year alone

CJ.. clearly you've not sailied the boats or you'd know you just can't compare a K6 with an SB3..

An SB3 keel weighs more than a whole K6.

How can it be 'cornered' from two different corners.

I don't see why not. They are both SMOD versions of a 3-person keelboat with an asymmetric. The original comment, that the SB3 has been much more successful in that market, is quite evidently correct. Look at the numbers at Cowes Week.

I agree with stefan here... to someone who doesnt know much about keelboats they both seem to be based on the same principles of a 3-man asymmetric keelboat

But the K6 is a 2 - 3 person boat, closer to a Flying 15 than a SB3

I think the Melges 24 is still going well but not so strong in the UK.
