Assuming the bits with lines in the margin are changed sections?

Good to see the definitions are at the beginning of the document.

Anyone with time and knowledge care to do a brief bit on whether the changes actually add up to anything earth-shattering?

I've spotted "Earth saving" don't be a litter bug, rule 55 . At least that will save putting it in the SI.

I'm amazed that ISAF haven't bothered to produce a list, or at least a synopsis, of the changes.

The rule requiring you to obey the IRPCS and TSS are interesting. Removes the odd situation where you could be fined for breaking these rules but not protested or have your score altered.

"Assuming the bits with lines in the margin are changed sections? "
Be careful as I suspect that this may not apply to the Apendices (as last time). For example, Appendix L 5.4 has changed as follows:
2009-2012: After a long postponement, to alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon, an orange flag will be displayed with one sound for at least four minutes before a warning signal is displayed.
2013-2016: To alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon, the orange starting line flag will be displayed with one sound at least five minutes before a warning signal is made.

"I'm amazed that ISAF haven't bothered to produce a list, or at least a synopsis, of the changes."
ISAF have left this to the MNAs in the past. The RYA usually produce a very useful summary of changes & their implications but I suspect that it may not be for a while yet.

One point - is this the document which is to be submitted to the November conference for ratification or has this process already been completed??

All decided last year, maybe at the mid year meeting... If they tried doing it this year how on earth would any publisher be able to distribute new books for January?

Minor point - all decided in November last year at the annual meeting.

Hi everyone,

I found this on the Sprint 15 Forum, which will be of interest to many dinghy racers:

There is also a thread on Sailing Anarchy:
