My partner & I have to move in a couple of months & are arguing (again) about where to go to - he wants to stay in London, I want the Solent - & it occurred to us yesterday that maybe Brighton would be a good compromise.

However, I do want to be sure of good keelboat racing, particularly as I was thinking of getting an SB3 next year - so can anyone tell me what the standards/fleets are like there? Also, which sailing clubs should we go & have a chat to when we go down for a recce on Mon/Tues?

All help much appreciated.
Lucy

Brighton Marina Yacht club is the obvious one. Then Sussex Yacht Club at Shoreham to the west or Newhaven Yacht Club to the east. Best to visit them to see if a SB3 fits in with their type of racing.

Of course if you want dinghy sailing come to Lancing SC, the best dinghy club in the area (and yes I am very biased).
