Right if you were in control of making rules and you could make one rule.  It can be serious or stupid it's up to you.

maybe that one race out of a championship must be a free for all race.  Anything goes. This would be good to see and i think you'd agree that there would be many a great photo oppotunity.

Don't think this is a good one then lets see what you come up with.

if wind strength under 5 knots then ur allowed to kick over the stern to get moving.

any boat over 30 years old has an improved handicap / headstart, unless more than £200 has been spent replacing bits of it or other inprovemnts in the last 3years

value  Limets (no boat shall be worth more than ....)

If you win a champs of any kind you are not allowed to make up your own
"T" shirt that says you just won it, esp if it says you were sponsored by
brands that you actually bought the stuff from!

if racing is on motor boats are not allowed within a mile of the course or a hefty fine is issued and donated to the RNLI

Last one is spot on. But should be applied to all boats not racing, - lol nearly ended up with people being disqualified from our nats for sailing across the c fleet course.

No discards, no tie-breaking, no flights, scores based on who beat who the most.

definantly got my vote on that one... that includes parents in other boats trying to help their kids, oblivious to the fact that they are in everbodies way

How about chucking right to water at marks and change to first to two boat length from mark retains right and room to round , would save overlap disputes

How about making this rule, "All asymetric boats should race round a windward-leeward course". (Turned up to too many races where they were sending us around an "olympic" course (triangle) in the 5-tonner and 49er)).
