i am thinking of buying a yacht in portugal or somewhere not too far from it, has anyone any advice, it will be staying in a marina in portugal,

Buying in an EU country should be OK. Buying outside raises complications with the Recreational Craft Directive. Make sure you get documents to prove VAT has been paid, as it is not uncommon for officials to demand to see them. |
