Don’t think so as the Hornet guys did it and the had 38, the Finn 32, the laser 5000 16 boats at there nationals maybe the rules have been changed I don’t know |

Pabs, I think the whole process is pretty subjective; it used to be 50 boats but since the UK dinghy scene has become so fragmented the number of "quality classes" with less than 50 entries has grown. So; I believe they just invite classes they consider worthy. For example the winner of the Finn nationals of 30 entries could be considered a top UK sailor, the winner of say "XXXX noddy class" from a fleet of 30 entries may not be ... Who knows how they decide which class is worthy; I have no idea and I wouldn't like to make that call. That said they can't have ALL national champions there as there won't be enough boats. I did the Endeavour Trophy some years ago for the Fireball and it was great fun ... if you get the chance grab it ... Rick ------------- |

With the adoption of the Omega dont people think they might be desperate for anyone to turn out I am not sure people will be falling over themselves to spend a weekend sailing one! |

The Xenon is the new boat launched by Topper at the London Boat show,
we've done a test of the prototype and a full test is coming up soon. ------------- If you're not smiling, do something about it :o) |
