| Looks like a ToY to me, late 60's or early 70's singlehander with fully battened main, and sliding seat. Imagine a longer, thinner, GRP Topper. Had quite a few on the East coast for a time but not seen or heard of one for a long, long time. As a child I used to watch Andy Bangham, the National Champion building them in his garage in Rowhedge. |

I deliberately destroyed two marauders last week. sob. I sold the l2k this morning. That means I am now down to contender, kestrel, byte, moth-skiff, french thing, i14, phantom. A mere seven boats! But not to worry, the 'chap' mentioned above is taking some of the l2k money off my hands on Monday for a couple of Europes and the pointy boat in the middle. her indoors only knows about the Europes... ------------- the same, but different... |

was not comenting on women. was talking about mens view of things( new boats, cars, phones etc) not people or relationships. on the other hand, i have some male friends that look at relationships the same way. ie; the next relationship will be the best and lasting one!!! ------------- |

Pfff, thats nothing. Apparently the guy who owns/used to own Oyster Marine has over 20 yachts and is still buying more. Thats still a massive collection though, how does he find time to sail that many dinghies?

sorry but there is only two sailing people i say nasty things about. one is a bloke i sail against( and thats because he is a cheating bast**d!!!!!!!!!!!) the other is G.R.F and thats because its fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would never ever be nasty to anybody who loves to play with old boats. ------------- |

my collection is currently a mere seven: kestrel - for sale contender - hibernating byte - her indoors i14 - being restored simoun - for sale but tomorrow I hope to pick up two europes and the ToY from the 'guy' down on the south coast. Wouldn't do to dip below double figures for long! moth phantom ------------- the same, but different... |
