Have you gotten your boat up on plane? What wind speed did you need and what type of boat were you sailing?

It all depends what you mean by planing, which is a suprisingly complex topic. Have a search for old threads. But in the normal way the word is used amongst UK dinghy sailors I would think the answer is that pretty much everyone here has. Other than multihulls, which march to a different drummer, there are precious few unballasted boats sailed in the UK that don't plane in the commonly used sense.
