Me and a mate are looking to start sailing a 49er next year but the issue is that we dont know if we're tall enough. We're both around 5'7/5'8. Im doubting either of us will grow as we're both coming on 18! So basically my question is, how important is height in sailing a boat such as a 49er? To make up for the lack of height would we have to be slightly heavier than other sailors who are taller? |

So does Chris Draper but then Mark Asquith and Peter Greenhalgh aren't exactly small. Little helm and big crew seems to be popular on 49ers. ------------- |
