yeah well imagine sailing near the dover shiping lanes in the fog, there not being another boat in sight (a strange thing in itself) and having a boat like that sail past out of the fog. aparently not powered by anything.

If you are stuck at work, it is nice to take a look and see whats happening at your club. I love being at my club, be it  sailing, helping out or just socially,  monday  morning though comes around far to quickly at least this way i can still keep in touch with what i love

If you go to http://www.virtual-salcombe.co.uk/webcam.cfm - http://www.virtual-salcombe.co.uk/webcam.cfm  you can see a few webcams around the salcombe estuary! Very nice when the sun is out and a few merlin rockets blasting around! but it's always 10 times better being there becasue you can eat the wonderful Salcombe ice cream. Yum yum yum yum.

And CHOCOLATE!!! They've got a chocolate maker there, I could walk all  the way there for their chocolate. You can visit the workshop too

And Salcombe harbour, with the pub where the Border Collie was herding punters into the bar, and the ferry across the estuary, and the painted houses, and the little creeks you can only access by boat, and the seafood, and Burgh Island in nearby Bigbury, with that extraordinary mode of transport, born from the crossing of a tractor with a flamingo , and the storms blowing all the way to Kingsbridge...

Salcombe is where I want to retire (when I'm very old - some of you out there would tell me it's going to be soon!)

Nice one, tgruitt

Well it certainly wasn't derogatory.........  Your post was/is positively vivid.  It paints a very bright picture..

Good grief, I sound like a 2nd rate English lecturer
