Ah first mistake made - Announcing the engagement.

Should of done what we did - Go off to Austria on some nondescript skiing holiday then text everybody to say
you've just got married!

I was just about to say 'Simples' but apparently that's no
longer good form.

Congrats anyway!

I'm with Ellistine

Got married - in laws had 3 days notice and sister had 2 weeks (but only because she was on her own honeymoon).  The went on family hols - told another couple of family members what we had done.  Got home and told everyone else................ By letter

Oh forgot - Got married in the mornng and both of us went to work in the afternoon

Cheers Winging It..at least you didn't say about time too (like everyone else has).

Unfortunately a quiet private wedding will not be allowed so we are planning for about 18 months time (money dependant).

As for marraige affecting my sailing, it never did the first time round but more like work and a small child affects it! At least she likes sailing with daddy so i get to go to the club a lot!
