ooh, I collected the remains of a marauder this week from the Lake District. I would be really interested in seeing pics of your boat Richard, so I can get the rebuilding right. I'm planning on having to get a cover made, but luckily I do have a mainsail and jib. ------------- the same, but different... |

I built my Mirror 14 (608) in 1972/73 and have raced her for many years at Benfleet and Leigh on Sea. In recent years she has had less use as I progressed to offshore sailing, but I realise that I miss dinghy sailing and am in the process of redecking her in the garage. I have loads of old photos and the construction manual that I used when I built her. I will have to get these scanned and I will email them to you if you want and will help you as i can. ------------- regards, Richard |

Richard, that would be fantastic! I'm now wondering about the age of mine, since it is number 45. Perhaps I should try carbon dating!  You might also like to try asking in www.cvrda.org for bits. They always have lots of bits and pieces lying about in their collective garages. ------------- the same, but different... |

Ok many thanks for that. 608 is in bits at the moment. I will take some pics and foward them to you so that you can see the construction, beneath the decks. It is all very straightforward. I will also look in my class association files to see if I can find any reference to M45.
