T-Cut.

Or if that doesn't work, wet and dry it through the grades. 400 - 600 - 800 - 1000 - 1200. Make sure you don't sand through the gelcoat if doing this.

If it's only faded, don't go through the grades of wet & dry - you'll take far too much material off if you do it properly, and if you don't do it porperly you'll never get the shine back! Flat it thoroughly so it's all evenly matt, but do it with either 1500 or 2000 grit wet & dry. Then wash it off VERY thoroughly and buff it with Farecla (can't remember which one works best on gelcoat, G4 rings a bell) and a hard sponge on a good buffer. Once it's all done, give the hull a few coats of good quality wax to help keep the UV off.

I have red topsides on the Byte and use red T cut from halfords every other year, works a treat.
