Just a note to say for those in central London I have found a great little chandler. It is called Arthur Beale and is based at the top end of Shaftsbury Avenue. Most helpful and not expensive – new shrouds for the GP14 made up in two days cost £6.40 each. They seem to have everything in stock although nothing on show. It’s all in the thousand and one draws behind the counter. It’s a bit like Arkwright’s corner store with probably the original bad tempered till too.

I would say it’s worth going in just to have a look around but if you do you will just get expectant looks from behind the counter as the chap waits to impress you with his draws! Fantastic.
