has anybody got any idea how to smooth the bottom of a fibreglass boat.was thinking about using t cut but dont know if this would work.sanding seems too extreme any other suggestions.maybe a polishing head on a drill maybe?? ------------- 505 7567 |

When refurbishing our university laser 2 for the nationals this year we
used gelcoat all over and then used a variety of different grade wet
and dry papers until we were down to a 1200 grain to finish off. Not
sure the difference in it being a fibreglass boat though but i'm sure

Either a marine polish (with teflon) or 1200 then 1500 and 1800 wet n dry if you can get it - if you want it to be gloss after you can use Rubbing/Cutting compound to bring it back to a gloss.
