Hello, after some research and deliberation, I've decided to buy an RS400 for me and my son to sail.

I'm viewing a used one tomorrow.

I was just wondering if there was a 'what to look out for guide' anywhere?

Failing that, could anyone give me a few pointers of what, with reference to the 400, I should be looking at quite closely.

Thanks in advance!!

Check that the mainsheet stop hasn't come loose ( i think that is a common problem)

Make sure the rudder pintals are secure

other than that I think they tend to be pretty solid...

I am buying one soon as well when my old boat has been picked up and paid for.  I asked a simillar question on the 'Dinghy Development' forum page of this website as few months ago and got a lot of advice. You should find it if you do a search.
