Richard, sorry - only just seen this one.  The optimist site has a whole booklet of on and off the water games, all related to sailing.  PM me if you can't find it.

We've got a fun day coming tomorrow, with (I hope) plenty of lil' kiddies eager to try dinghy sailing at sea. Trouble is, the weather forecast isn't too welcoming for beginners, with a midF4 westerly due, so BIG waves dumping on the beach as we launch.

I'll try and waste a bit of time on the beach with land-based games before we throw them in the sea - oops, I mean, throw them in the boats

I'll be there to fish out the survivors.

Cheers guys, been away from the 'ternet for a week, got some ideas from there, will have to get some stuff now!

Cadet Week is this coming  week, forcast is a bit up and dawn but we'll no doubt be able to come up with something.

We did have 1 year when it was a Force 5,6,7 for nearly 4 days so want stuff to keep us going!!

Happy sailing!
