Merlin (but not Merlin Rocket) or Bravo it is the same 2-3 person dinghy. It is avaliable in Germany, Benelux and Poland. The boat has three versions: 7 sqm, 8.5 sqm and 10 sqm of sails (jib and mainsail).

It is perfect as for beginners as for more advanced sailors.

I wonder if anyone has ever seen or sailed this boat in UK or another country?

I can't answer all of your questions but I like this boat and I don't care if you like it or not. I wanted to share with you. The rudder is little different with tiller extension and this hand thing hanging down on the boom is probably "walkie-talkie".

It looks like a small cruiser racer to me, and I suspect it will find the UK market rather crowded. The only problem I have with it is that they stole the name of a classic dinghy, but then presumebly the Merlin Rocket isn't big in Poland...

It doesnt actually look that bad tbh. would probably be a good family boat.
a better choice than a wayfarer or something similar to that.
