I've been offered a finn hull at a very good price but its missing a sail, mast and rudder. Its only a bargain if I can complete the boat with very little more money. Has anyone got any idea where I can look for Finn bits. I've been on the association web site, ebay, apolloduck, boatsoutboards...... where else?

I bet the RYA Finn program ghenerates plenty of used rigs... Rudders might be a bit more of an issue.

Probably worth putting a post on the class forum asking around. It depends how old the hull is and what kind of a rig you are looking for. If it's an older hull a few folk probably still have alloy needlespars kicking about. Similar situation with sails. Not sure about rudders but if you don't ask you don't find out!

Our old finn (1956 No.17, we have the certificate) still has it's wooden mast and boom, complete with wedge - the system used before the kicking strap to keep the boom down.
Not for sale, though.
We sadly broke the old rudder and the Devotti one looks a bit incongorous - but obviously works really well.

I've posted on the RYA forums too - thanks for the advice so far - keep it coming!
