So who is going to be there this weekend?  I will be there in my new bright yellow contender, most likely near the back of the fleet

Anyone else coming?

I will be there.  You are very welcome to inherit the last place spot from me, especially since I will be collecting my brand new carbon rig, being brought up from Wavelength in Plymouth.  If that doesn't make me faster I will sell the boat and take up knitting.

Seriously though, if this is your first meeting then go for it.  The guys are very friendly and helpful towards newbies and you will learn masses.  Although the standard is high and the learning curve is pretty damned steep, the standard of your sailing will go right up pretty quickly.

Have you also joined the contender yahoo group?  Well worth doing for hints and tips.

I'll be there !! In GBR630. So will my brother in GBR884. We'll be the ones with the double stacker with red and black covered cocooned boats.

I was out practising for the last 3 days blowing the cobwebs off.

This is my first event so I'm starting to get nervous

Mark.

I am going to be there in GBR 620. It is a grey Contender so I will look out for a bright yellow one and come and say Hi.

Ben Holden is the secretary now, but yes, you can pay on the day no worries.  There is a training weekend planned for the 19th/20th too - at Weston, Burton or Porthpean, free to class members.
