Iron Maiden surfacing in the Sony-sponsoring-F1 ads.

Fantastic!

Sadly, all my Iron Maiden is on vinyl and I no longer have a turntable.

the only decent Iron Maiden album is 'Iron Maiden' with the original front man

Paul Di'Anno

Punk influence heavy rock. Not Bruce Dickinson's over blown Comic Rock! Steve Harris should of know better than to sack Di'Anno just for a little substance abuse, how un-heavy metal is that!

And  KISS were there & had a photo call with Lewis H pre race & i think that they were to headline the post race party.

That would have have been worth while to see the race & kiss in the same day.

KISS are on a World Tour. Playing the UK 'Download Festival' if you are keen.

No No No! I wish I hadn't started this thread!

Iron Maiden - forefront of the NWOBHM scene!

You cannot dismis Bruce Dickinson as Comic Rock and then state undying love to KISS, the ultimate Comic Rock Band. I mean, "Catman" Criss? Looking like he's from a Lloyd-Webber musical? How rock and roll is that?

(Answer - Not at all)

Hey... I never said I had undying love for Kiss, I merely mentioned they were playing the 'Download Festival'!

OK so I did see them in 78', 83', 84'

But at least KISS are honest about there comic rock values!

But you can also forget about any of the albums they did after 'Love Gun'  - it all became Hair Spray Rock after that instead of just Comic Rock!

Ummm... as for Killers, it's about half good.

Just my opinion though.

Ah, I dunno bout that - my niece has heard of Maiden, and she's not 16 yet. Mind you, I suspect she prefers Elliot Minor..... .

You don't need youth, just taste. Though obviously the two are seldom found together these days

To be fair most of this music is a little before my time  Although i have a varied music taste I'll have you know It doesn't extend into as far as kiss or iron maiden. Again to be fair the only people i know of my age that like iron maiden are losers with too many iron maiden t-shirts that repel girls

Cant agree with you more George about those band tee-shirts, it has the equivalent girl repelling power to rolling in ones own excrement.

Technical Note

The trouble with the USB deck is you have to record in real time.  That can take a lot of spare time if you have a big collection.  By the way Maplin now do a USB tape deck too.
