Cool, shows us ahead, but what is series 1?

Is it Gold, Silver, Bronze?

Maybe just parts of the year cut into 3 or something? Not really sure what it is on about.

Don't think it will be Gold, Silver, Bronze though. (Don't see how that would make sense, although that is what the colours suggest..)

Series 1 is rank #1 etc.

If this was an Olympic medal table, we'd be 8th, behind everyone with a world #1.

 

Of course, some world champions aren't up top due to having sailed too few ranking events of late- Mr Ainslie for example. The ranking reward those who get out there and put in consistently high performances.
