Has your centre/club made it?

Alton has, http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympics/london_2012/7275336.stm - we're top of the list . We better get ready to be over run by canoe and kayakists.

Do you reckon this will bring in some funding to improve facilities? I hope so, we really need to change our dribblers in proper showers

Mark.

Wheras on the full list there's 20 sites for Sailing. That's just East Anglia. Having said that, surely there's some suitable sites on the coast in this part of the world?

I can't think of a site between London and Licolnshire that's really much like Weymouth Bay...

Maybe that's what they are trying to avoid....
Although it would appear form a cursory glance that places had to put themselves forward for the selection. And as far as I can tell the vast majority are either publicly owned/Lottery Funded facilities or are affiliated with such an operation.
Although I see there is a Weymouh sailing club in there somewhere...

Actually if you dig most of the sailing venus are in the south or south west regions.  Although I did note Hartlepool and Sunderland where in as sailing venus for the north east....mmmmmm can't see it myself.  I'd hold my trg in camps in North France rather than the North East and I live here!!

I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

Surely the best place to train for Weymouth is Weymouth ?!?

Good to see that Pwllheli Sailing Club is on the list for wales, I personally think it offers better sailing than Weymouth.

I assume they will be sailing the keel boats at the Cowes Combined Yacht Clubs.
