Well a lot is the answer!

I know Laser give new boats to each participant, but thats how they get more onto the Market, Do any other championships do the same?

Imagine if you got there early alone. Rigged your boat up in the middle, got changed then exited the changing rooms to realise... "oh bugger! which ones mine?!"

I know, was editing it when you posted!! Was unable to link from Y+Y so had to upload it.

I take it, the boat is "free" to use which then gets sold on after?

Yea that's what i was going to say. I doubt they can't afford to give a way that many boats.

The boats are supplied, not given. They will be sold afterwards. Same at the Olympics.

What about just swapping the sail, will the sailor actually notice their boat hull doesn't match the number on the sail!!!

Sorry to be boring but swapping the sails probably wouldn't work there as the sails have country letters on and people should remember what country they came from, at least on the first day of a championship....

[That's top duffing by me by the way]

I think the point is they would look for the sail number and have a different boat... But not that that would make it any different if they are all new directly from Laser!
