yup, jon emmett has managed it aswell, and guess wat? browser: AOL 9.... when i lived in the US i used AOL for a while, and it was the worst browser i have ever used in my life, even worse than MSN explorer (not easy!) the best browser i have used is Safari on Mac OS X, which is brill!

*sighs* .. i have JUST explained that! it comes from using the AOL
browser and having Y&Y open in more than one window. hurricane does it
coz it makes him feel important. whereas bigwvedave is cleary a
megolomaniac genius who is going to take over the Y&Y world!

You can click on the Memberlist button in the toolbar (top of screen) once you're on the forum. It gives a total number of members (970 today). You can also check out the ID of your favourite posters (contender443   ).

As for the active members, it's a little more of a mystery... This morning, both contender443 and I were on the forum, yet the active members list only mentioned 1 name! His on his laptop, and my name on my PC... Odd...

Still, it didn't stop us posting

Would it be PARTY TIME on Fri 11th March?

I forgot to look at what date I joined - both those profiles are mine and are the first two - so I guess 11th March is the forum's first birthday.

Incidently the website is nearing its 10th birthday. Before it was YachtsandYachting.com it was http://www.intersail.co.uk - www.intersail.co.uk (domain name still works) which I started up on 22nd November 1995!

Sailing on the pool was such a laugh - I did end up with a bruise on the side of my head but all of us on the water were smiling the entire time. I only capsized in reality in one race. The video would suggest far more as we wanted to make it amusing!

I think the date I guessed is way to late in the month.

I think we might reach the 1000th member at the weekend!!

That would be great.

yeah, an indoor, heated lake for all those winter days like today when its far to cold for me to go sailin on the forth (about 6in snow here on the outskirts of edin this morn!!) so that i can enjoy sailing in a shortie all year round... hmmm it may be easier to move to warmer climes!
