I am involved but this is free, its a new virtual sailing package, we have a race starting in 48 hrs from New York to Plymouth, you get the chance to make route decisions on a 125'cat in real time with real weather and there will be some pro's in the fleet as well.
If you think I should post the address let me know...for all those dinghy sailors who want to go ocean racing!

I dont see a problem with it... Your not earning anything from it, chances are there will be some interested people here and you were honest enough about your involvement. Go for it.

OK here goes enjoy the race but don't beat me ;-) The race starts in 48 hrs you can practice until then and yachts will be dragged back to the start just before the start time. www.sailonline.org download the software register and have a play with how it works, a few tips check the polar diagram for best performance when heading up or downwind for best angles, if you tack you get a short term performance drop which comes back up again as the boat picks up speed. If you run aground you will get a performance penalty that takes an hour or two to come back to 100%. Zoom in when coastal as there can be small islands that you won't see on a larger image. Weather updates I think 3-4 hourly but you can ask on the forum. Delayed commands allow you to sleep.

Good luck and is any body else out in Plymouth this weekend for the Laser race?
