This is only a "propping up the bar" type question really [a handy coincidence, that...hic... ] so don't anyone get het up 'bout it - just interested to hear some views from different quarters:

Which do people reckon is the easist to sail (=race): single wire symmetric, twin wire asym, or asym cat?

For some added context: inland sailing, crew not experienced, helm moderately expereienced (mainly as by-product of age....).

Spinny system on a symmetric boat is harder to master then assy, most twin wire boats will be more of a handfull but i think they would probably be easier to race, twin wires generaly means more rag, which means you dont get t-bagged as often.  I have never sailed an assy cat so cant comment.

twin wire boats are easier than single wire boats(cat or mono)

you don't have to shout instructions at your crew then
