You see, that's the beauty of these boats Paul.  A bit of meat to get your teeth into. They punch through waves, and pretty much everything else with the oodles of power available.

Masochistically, I now have a 6mm mainsheet on the Osprey just to show how hard I am.   High sheet loads my a**e

Oh and did I mention that the SGP is at Rutland this weekend.  Mucho funno.  Last year one of the races even had an old Le Mans type start from the beach.  Marvellous !!!!

That clock of yours wasn't ticking loud enough! It was this weekend (Saturday and yesterday).

Results and reports are available on the http://www.fastsail.org/news.php - FastSail newly revamped website.

Well done to all competitors and good luck to you, Tim...

there's always next year, gives me more days to fit out the boat so I don't mind!

I've been away at the boat show for 11 days so have lost all track of time! Lucky for the competitors this year anyway that we didn't show u

It was a really brilliant event!

It was the first year we were free to come down from Scotland (we even changed my parents's 50th wedding aniversary so we could come) and I can assure you we will be back!

I loved the fact that all the different classes sailed directly against each other, even if it was a bit scary having an FD roll over us on the line! In the light weather we learnt it was easy to lee bow a 505 and that was fun too. It just gave a unique feel to the event - it wasn't just another Open Meeting.

What about that Jolly Boat at your club coming next year? They would be welcomed with open arms.
