Conrad Humphrey's is an absolute legend. He may not win the Vendee but if he manages to finish he will be the race's hero! (In my books anyway)

But who took those photos!?!

thats a good point, is no one else allowed to help repair the boat?

Its a bit unhelpful of the cameraman if extra help was allowed!!!

i love the way photos like that are taken but there was ment to be noone else there its like the hole ray mears survival program where u know he goes back to his 5 star hotel when the camera is off!!

If I was sailing that far on my own I'd want a Video camera to look at the rudders without getting wet.  Maybe there is one in the keel bulb ?

I thought he had stopped at Simonstown? They are allowed to anchor to do repairs, but not to accept outside assistance. Didn't someone stop in the lee of cape horn or the kergulan islands last time to mend a mast?

I imagine the people from Simonstown took the photo, but helping him would have disqualified him.
